Questions about timescales, materials and warranty
Clear expectations before work begins. Final terms are always set out in the proposal, technical specification and contract.
We believe complex artistic and themed projects should be clear before work begins. These answers explain typical timelines, materials, warranties, on-site responsibilities and possible changes during a project, so clients understand the practical side of building durable themed environments.
Every project is different. A sculptural façade, artificial rockwork, a themed entrance, a water feature, a zoo habitat, a private interior or a hidden room may each require different planning, materials and coordination.
Our goal is a transparent process before fabrication begins, so clients understand what affects time, cost, durability and long-term maintenance.
How long does a project usually take?
It depends on size, complexity, site conditions, the approval process, weather, access and the number of changes during the work. Small sculptural or decorative elements may take a few weeks. Larger themed environments, façades, artificial rockwork or landmarks can take several months from planning to completion. We confirm a realistic programme only once the scope, dimensions, materials, access and approval stages have been agreed.
Can the programme change during the work?
Yes, if the scope changes, the client requests new visual or technical solutions, site conditions differ from what was assumed, access is restricted, weather affects external work or approvals are delayed. That is why we treat changes after approval as a formal change of scope. Even a small creative change can affect weight, fixing points, waterproofing, curing time, access, material quantities or installation sequence.
What materials do you use?
We select materials to suit the project's requirements, location, exposure and expected durability. Depending on the project, these include reinforced concrete systems, cement-based sculptural layers, EPS/XPS cores, steel reinforcement or mesh, waterproofing, mineral coatings, impregnating sealers, paints and patinas. There is no single universal system for every project. Exterior sculptures, artificial rockwork, façades, water-adjacent features and interior scenic elements each require different technical decisions.
Are outdoor features maintenance-free?
No outdoor artistic or building element can honestly be described as entirely maintenance-free. We build durable, low-maintenance systems, but long-term durability also depends on proper use, drainage, waterproofing, site conditions, inspections, cleaning and protection from damage.
Do you provide a warranty?
Yes. We provide a warranty on completed work within the agreed scope. The warranty period and terms depend on the type of project, materials, location, exposure, technical specification and contract. The warranty does not cover, among other things, damage resulting from structural movement of existing buildings, moisture from unrelated building defects, vandalism, mechanical damage, improper use, lack of maintenance or alterations made by others. The warranty usually covers work carried out by our team within the agreed system and accepted conditions. It also does not cover hidden site conditions, incorrect substrate preparation by others or extreme conditions beyond the agreed design assumptions.
What needs to be approved before production?
Before production or installation, the following should be clear: the overall visual direction, dimensions, scope of work, materials, access, installation method, on-site responsibilities and approval stages. For complex projects we recommend sketches, references, samples, mock-ups or technical discussions. This helps define the visual target and reduces the risk of misunderstandings.
Who is responsible for site conditions?
We discuss site conditions before work begins. Depending on the project, the client may provide access, scaffolding or lifting equipment, power, water, safe working conditions, structural information, permits, substrate preparation or coordination with other contractors. If actual site conditions differ from the information provided before work began, adjustments to scope, schedule or cost may be required.
Do you carry out structural calculations?
We understand the technical side of sculptural and themed structures and work with structural logic, reinforcement concepts and practical installation methods. However, where regulations, permits or structural liability require formal calculations, these should be prepared or approved by a qualified structural engineer in the relevant country.
Can you join a project as a subcontractor?
Yes. We often work as a specialist contractor on projects led by a general contractor or architect, working from drawings and the design brief. We can also take over and complete work that has already started.
Do you work outside Poland?
Yes. We have experience in Belarus, Sweden and Poland, and our team is available for selected international projects.
What happens if the design changes after approval?
Creative changes are natural in artistic and themed projects. However, once the design, scope, material system or installation method has been approved, later changes may affect price, schedule, structure, weight, fixing points, waterproofing, access or durability. That is why changes after approval should be confirmed in writing before they are carried out.
Why is it so important to clarify assumptions early?
Because many project problems do not come from the creative idea itself, but from unclear assumptions. If structure, materials, maintenance, water contact, access, approvals, deadlines and responsibilities are not discussed early, small decisions can later turn into costly problems. Our approach is simple: we protect the creative result by highlighting practical risks before they become disputes.
These answers are for information only. Final project terms, warranties, responsibilities and exclusions are always defined by the individual quotation, technical specification and contract.
