Artisan Aleks Company is developing a new generation of specialist material systems for artificial rockwork, sculpted trees, sculptures, façades and complex themed environments. The direction of this work is set by the real needs of the artists, sculptors and contractors who build such environments.
Development stage: product in research and development We describe intended properties and the direction of development work. These are not the specifications of a commercially available product; independent laboratory testing is the next stage of the work.
Why we are developing it: experience from the site
We do not treat materials development as a laboratory exercise alone. Our work draws on years of practice creating artificial rockwork, sculpted trees, façades, sculptures and large themed environments.
We know when existing systems become too heavy, too brittle, hard to sculpt or dependent on extensive mesh and multiple application layers. Our aim is to develop materials that are practical in the workshop and effective on a real construction site.
Main product in development: Artisan Sculpt Epoxy Universal
Current stage: raw material qualification and selection of long-term suppliers.
Base formulations for the entire product line have been developed and have gone through in-house sample production.
Artisan Sculpt Epoxy Universal is a two-component epoxy sculpting compound being developed for interior and exterior decorative applications.
Once mixed, the system is intended to form a dense, plasticine-like mass that can be applied to a prepared substrate and sculpted directly into rock, bark, skin, ornament and complex three-dimensional detail.
Intended sculpting capabilities: from natural forms to fine detail
The system is being developed so that the same sculpting compound can create both large natural forms and fine decorative detail.
How the system is intended to work: a sculptural layer on a prepared substrate
The material is being developed as a reinforced sculptural layer applied to a properly prepared substrate. The workable surface can then be shaped by hand into rock, bark, relief or complex three-dimensional detail.

Artisan Sculpt Epoxy Universal is intended for artists, sculptors, scenic fabricators and specialist contractors working on complex themed environments.
Building a long-term European raw material supply network
We invite European manufacturers and distributors of technical epoxy resins, hardeners, functional fillers, reinforcing fibres, rheology modifiers and other specialist components to get in touch.
We are interested in consistent industrial-grade materials, technical support, qualification samples and long-term supply capability as the product line progresses towards independent testing and future production.

Deep fractures, layered planes and natural irregularity shaped directly by hand.

Fine fibres, cracks, layered bark plates and knots combined into one coherent sculpted surface.

1. Prepared substrateEPS/XPS, concrete, timber, metal and composite substrates may be considered, subject to appropriate surface preparation and compatibility testing.
2. Reinforced sculptural layerThe planned formulation combines an epoxy binder with selected functional fillers and reinforcing fibres.
3. Hand-sculpted textureWhile workable, the material is intended to be shaped, cut and textured by hand before curing.
