Stone fireplaces, ovens and outdoor kitchens

A fireplace, stove or outdoor kitchen is often the heart of a home or garden. We create sculptural surrounds for them: from a fireplace or stove in the house, through a garden oven with stone cladding, to a complete outdoor kitchen under a shelter, with an oven, worktops, cabinets and a fire pit in one coherent style. Every form is bespoke, matched to the interior, façade and the way it will be used.

We carve the cladding by hand directly on site, using the same technique we use on façades: rubble stone, brick, old timber or another texture matched to the surroundings. As a result the surround does not look like a set of tiles but like a single built structure, and the colour and patina can be matched to the rest of the interior or garden.

The heating side requires a clear division of responsibility. The fireplace insert, flues, stove and their approval are handled by qualified stove fitters and installers; we design and build the decorative layer and select materials for the temperature and working conditions in that location. We agree this before work starts so the surround does not compromise safety or maintenance access.

The service is for private clients, guesthouses and agritourism, restaurants, hotels and leisure venues. It combines well with a barbecue area, a gazebo, paths and a terrace in the same stone.
