We build waterfalls, fountains, poolside surrounds and water features in artificial rockwork. Water demands proper waterproofing and a suitable layer system, so we design them from structure to finish.

Water offers huge scope for creating atmosphere. It can be a dynamic waterfall visible from far away, a calm cascade in a spa, part of a rocky landscape, part of a building entrance or an intimate accent in a private garden.

The best effect comes when the water feature does not look like a separate technical element. That is why we combine water with artificial rockwork, sculpture, themed architecture, planting, light and carefully modelled surroundings.

We deliver single features as well as extensive water and rock compositions. We also work with water systems contractors, designers and general contractors so that the technical side is properly integrated with the visual layer.

Technologies

Technology and execution

We design every water feature with both the visual effect and the water flow in mind, as well as maintenance access, safety and operating conditions.

The themed layer can be built on steel structures, properly prepared substrates and lightweight space frames. Depending on the project we use cementitious and polymer-modified systems, reinforcement, metal or composite mesh, EPS/XPS and other materials suited to working in direct contact with water.

We carve rock surfaces by hand, creating natural steps, fissures, erosion, flow channels and irregular banks. As a result the water does not run over random decoration, but becomes an integral part of the whole formation.

The final effect is built up with multi-layer painting, patination, varied textures and carefully directed light.

Depending on the scope of the project we work with the designers and contractors responsible for hydraulics, pumps, filtration, waterproofing, controls and electrical installations. This separates technical responsibility from the artistic layer while designing both systems as a coherent whole.

Water features can also be integrated with LED lighting, mist, sound, sculpture and other special effects.

From the outset we plan for maintenance, cleaning and access to technical components without damaging the finished scenery.
